About Us

The Kidz Care Klinic has a long history of contributing to our community since founded March 2003. The clinic is dedicated to providing quality healthcare to all Mississippi's children.

We specialize in the preventive and acute care medicine of children from newborn to late adolescence (18 years old).

Michelle J. Gibson, MD, FAAP

Dr. Gibson is a board-certified pediatrician. As a graduate of Jackson State University and University of Mississippi Medical Center, she is a strong believer in our community. She is a member of various professional organizations such as: American Academy of Pediatrics, Miss. Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, and the Miss. State Medical Association. 

She is the mother of two children (Winston James and Julia). 

Dr. Gibson is also an advocate for community service. She participates in various local health fairs to help spread the importance of good health and well-being. 

She volunteers as a judge in the regional science fair, assists in local classroom activities, and also serves as a mentor to many high school and college students.

 

Jerikia S. Carter, MSN, FNP-C

Ms. Carter is a national board-certified family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. She received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Southwest Mississippi Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alcorn State University, and a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. She has received training in areas including pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, and women’s health.

As a lifelong resident of rural Mississippi, Jerikia desires to identify health disparities within the community and provide quality healthcare to individuals across the life span, especially in underserved areas.

She is the mother of two children, Jayden and Jurnee. In her spare time, she enjoys attending and watching various sporting events, traveling, and spending time with family.

She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
